CHROM se formó en mayo de 2007 por Christian Marquis y Thomas Winters, después de que ambos descubrieron su amor mutuo por los sonidos Electro , melódicos . El nombre del grupo es una combinación de los dos nombres de los músicos (CHRis y tOM).
